Meta-analysis: effect of hormone-replacement therapy on components of the metabolic syndrome in postmenopausal women

This meta-analysis examined the effects of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) on components of metabolic syndrome in postmenopausal women. Results showed that HRT significantly reduced abdominal fat, insulin resistance, and new-onset diabetes, while improving cardiovascular health by reducing cholesterol ratios, blood pressure, and inflammatory markers. Oral HRT was more effective than
