Long term magnesium supplementation influences favourably the natural evolution of neuropathy in Mg-depleted type 1 diabetic patients (T1dm)

This clinical trial examined the effects of long-term magnesium supplementation on the progression of diabetic neuropathy in magnesium-deficient patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM). The study found that sustained magnesium intake favorably influenced the natural evolution of neuropathy, suggesting therapeutic potential for magnesium in managing nerve-related complications of diabetes.
