A Randomized Trial of Silymarin for the Treatment of Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis

This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial evaluated the efficacy of silymarin in patients with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). While silymarin did not significantly reduce the NAFLD activity score (NAS) by 30% or more compared to placebo, it was associated with a significant reduction in liver fibrosis as measured by both histology and
