Resveratrol reverses the effects of chronic unpredictable mild stress on behavior, serum corticosterone levels and BDNF expression in rats

This study examined the effects of resveratrol in rats exposed to chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS), a model for depression. Resveratrol administration significantly reversed depressive-like behaviors, normalized serum corticosterone levels, and restored brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression in the hippocampus. These findings suggest that resveratrol may counteract stress-induced depression by
