This 2018 double-blind randomized controlled trial compared the efficacy of ultrasound-guided intra-articular injections of corticosteroids (40 mg triamcinolone) versus oxygen-ozone (10 cc at 15 μg/mL) in 62 patients with knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Both treatments led to significant pain reduction (VAS) and functional improvement (WOMAC) at 1 week and 1 month.
