Menopause hormone therapy and complementary alternative medicine, quality of life, and racial/ethnic differences: the Study of Women’s Health Across the Nation (SWAN)

his cohort study examined the impact of hormone therapy (HT) and complementary alternative medicine (CAM) on the quality of life (QoL) in midlife women experiencing vasomotor and genitourinary menopause symptoms. Results showed that HT was associated with a significantly higher QoL than CAM, particularly for women with more severe symptoms.
