Aerobic Exercise Restores Aging-Associated Reductions in Arterial Adropin Levels and Improves Adropin-Induced Nitric Oxide-Dependent Vasorelaxation

This 2021 study by Fujie et al. investigated the impact of aerobic exercise on arterial adropin levels and adropin-induced nitric oxide (NO)-dependent vasorelaxation in aging mice. The researchers found that aging was associated with decreased arterial adropin expression and impaired adropin-induced vasorelaxation due to reduced endothelial NO synthase (eNOS) phosphorylation.
