Preparation and characterization of methylene blue nanoparticles for Alzheimer’s disease and other tauopathies
This study explores the use of methylene blue (MB)-loaded nanoparticles for treating Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and other tauopathies. The nanoparticles, designed to improve MB’s bioavailability in the brain, are formulated using PLGA-b-PEG and are 136.5 nm in size. They exhibit a sustained drug release profile, effectively reducing tau protein levels
