Weight and body composition changes during oral contraceptive use in obese and normal weight women
This 2014 randomized controlled trial assessed weight and body composition changes over 3–4 months in 150 women—54 obese (BMI 30.0–39.9) and 96 normal weight (BMI 19.0–24.9)—using combined oral contraceptives (OCs) containing either 20 μg ethinyl estradiol (EE) with 100 μg levonorgestrel (LNG) or 30 μg EE with 150 μg LNG.
