Effects of Exercise Amount and Intensity on Abdominal Obesity and Glucose Tolerance in Obese Adults: A Randomized Trial
This 2015 randomized controlled trial assessed the independent effects of exercise amount and intensity on abdominal obesity and glucose tolerance in 300 abdominally obese adults over 24 weeks. Participants were assigned to one of four groups: control (no exercise), low-amount low-intensity (LALI), high-amount low-intensity (HALI), or high-amount high-intensity (HAHI) exercise.
