Combined chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine for painful knee osteoarthritis: a multicentre, randomised, double-blind, non-inferiority trial versus celecoxib
This 2016 multicentre, double-blind, non-inferiority trial (MOVES) assessed the efficacy and safety of a fixed-dose combination of chondroitin sulfate (400 mg) and glucosamine hydrochloride (500 mg) taken three times daily versus celecoxib (200 mg once daily) over 6 months in 606 patients with Kellgren and Lawrence grade 2–3 knee osteoarthritis
