Complete remission and long-term survival of a patient with melanoma metastases treated with high-dose fever-inducing Viscum album extract: A case report

This case report describes a 66-year-old patient with metastatic cutaneous melanoma who declined conventional treatment and received high-dose Viscum album extract (VAE), a mistletoe-derived therapy. VAE was administered subcutaneously, intravenously, and intralesionally, inducing repeated fever responses. Over several months, lymph node metastases regressed, culminating in complete remission after two years.
